In this episode, Brett and Jason turn to the Scriptures to study the concept of idolatry as prohibited by the first commandment. In looking at the “Parable of the Rich Fool” from Luke 12:13-21, they discuss covetousness as idolatry, idolatry of possessions as both a wealthy and a poor person, and how idolatry is simply functional atheism.
